I absolutely loved “A Borrowing of Bones” by Paula Munier! This Mercy Carr mystery was full of twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. As a huge fan of crime fiction, I can confidently say that this book did not disappoint.
John was the perfect protagonist – strong, independent, and fiercely loyal to her canine companion Elvis. The bond between Mercy and Elvis was heartwarming and added an extra layer of emotion to the story. I found myself rooting for them both throughout the entire book.
The writing style was witty and clever, with just the right amount of humor sprinkled in. I couldn’t help but chuckle at some of Mercy’s inner monologues. Munier did a fantastic job developing each character, making them feel like real people rather than just fictional creations.
